VISITORS and FOR STEVEN

Welcome Bridgette and Jenna.

For those of you who don't know my sister, Jenna, she is a photo-phreak. She takes lots of pictures. Most of them of herself making this face.

Jenna and Bridgette have a message for you:
The outdoor temp is on the right.

Steven left for Costa Rica on Friday, but before he left we went to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center to check out a mustang adoption.

Check out Jackson's cowboy boots.

There was also a minature pony show.

Jackson is all about the animals.

Sunday afternoon:
Jackson's sweet suit.

Yes, Steven, I used the grill. Don't worry I turned it off.

A token dinner picture.

While mom was taking a Sunday nap, Aunt Jenna was having some fun with Jackson:

Sunday evening we walked around the LA temple.

Monday ModgePodge

The past week we had a lot of excitement at our house:

1) Wednesday night one of Steven's mission companions, Jakob Brandley, and his family stayed with us for a night during their family vacation. He and his wife Celestial have a 5mo old little girl, HeMya (Phillipino for "Glory").

She is pretty much just as big as Jackson. He's just a little guy.
Thanks for visiting Brandleys and Bybees!

2) Jackson fell asleep praying. Oops. He's just getting ready for that mission.

3) THE BIG NEWS: Jackson has his first tooth!! Friday night while I was at work, Steven was at dinner with some friends and he discovered the little thing had erupted.

No more edentulous Jackson!

4) Steven got another basketball injury.

5) Jackson can stand up in his crib... Yikes!

HEY! Aren't you going to pick me up?

Happy Easter!

Santa Anita and Etc.

We have been wanting to check out the Santa Anita Race Track, a famous horse-racing track nearby. (There's a reality TV show called Jockeys based on actual events at this track.) Today we had the opportunity to go with a friend in the ward whose father actually owns one of the race horses. The facility was beautiful, and even better we all got our fix on second hand smoke!
Posing in front of the Seabiscuit statue.
Posing with the jockey. He's been in the business for 30yrs!

The scenery is beautiful!

Our friend's horse took second-to-last. This is a picture of his cool down.
His name is Call On Carson.

Here are the boys comparing odds.

One of Jackson's cute smiles!

Jackson got to ride his first horse today!

Thanks Brittany and Benson for a fun afternoon!

News from the homefront, Jackson can now sit on the scale.

You can almost see it says 18lbs even.

Sorry this one is turned, but Jackson has taken a liking to playing the piano.

Jackson crawling around checking things out.

One last goofy look.

A New Era

Well, Jackson started crawling this morning and hasn't stopped since. He's been trying for weeks but he's just been flopping around. This morning he finally figured it out. This morning I figured out that we are now going to have to be extra vigilant.
Jackson isn't super fond of the jumper, but somehow, it being on the floor, Jackson figured out how to get in. He even put his legs through the holes, but I couldn't catch it on camera.

Look, I can crawl!

Yes, Jackson found the garbage can on the first day.
Luckily I had just put clean sack in the bucket.

Welcome to the rest of our lives!
