No Place Like Home

Boarding the plane at Long Beach:
Jackson was a trooper on the flight to SLC. He was way overdue for a nap, but he didn't cry much. He was checking things out like he always does. Eventually he fell asleep, but not for long.

Meeting up with JD and Liz. Check out their blog for some great pictures of Jackson.
* * *
We couldn't wait for Jackson to reunite with Avery and Wyatt.
But you can't play with girls without some drama! Unforgettable faces!
The other thing that happens when you play with your cousins is that you are bound to get a few bumps and bruises. Jackson was trying to stand up by the coffee table and fell over. He will have a big black eyein the morning.

Steve, the rest of the pictures are for you.
Here is our cow. He's not much to look at, but he came over to say hi to Jackson. Jackson wasn't afraid of them. Even when Squaw's horse colt got really friendly.

This colt is super-friendly. He walked over to us to check things out and then wouldn't leave us alone.
We said "Hi" to Spitzer.

I think we have a farm boy here. He was talking to the cows while we were outside.
Can't wait to see you!

Remember that one time we missed our flight?

Oh wait, that was tonight.

(Jenna, Bridgette, and Jackson at the zoo, this picture is supposed to be at the end of the post).

Yes, we missed our flight to Salt Lake. It was an ID10T error.
This is us coming back home.

Since we are home, and not in Utah with JD and Liz, I will recap:

Monday we took a trip to Venice Beach.

Getting ready for the beach... I would be frightened too Jackson.

Welcome to Venice Beach.

The water was warm enough this time for Jackson to play in the water. He was crawling all over in the sand. He was also trying to eat the sand.

Jenna and Bridget.

The signature look.

Tuesday the girls took Jackson to the zoo.

(See first picture.)
Thanks Jenna and Bridgette for helping me out and for the good times!
JetBlue gave us standby tickets for tomorrow 11am. See you all soon!

VISITORS and FOR STEVEN

Welcome Bridgette and Jenna.

For those of you who don't know my sister, Jenna, she is a photo-phreak. She takes lots of pictures. Most of them of herself making this face.

Jenna and Bridgette have a message for you:
The outdoor temp is on the right.

Jenna and Jackson enjoying the pool.

Steven left for Costa Rica on Friday, but before he left we went to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center to check out a mustang adoption.

Check out Jackson's cowboy boots.

There was also a minature pony show.

Jackson is all about the animals.

***
Sunday afternoon:
Jackson's sweet suit.

Yes, Steven, I used the grill. Don't worry I turned it off.

A token dinner picture.

While mom was taking a Sunday nap, Aunt Jenna was having some fun with Jackson:

Jackson's first haircut!
Sunday evening we walked around the LA temple.

Jackson discovers grass.

Hi dad!

Everything is edible when you are Jackson!

Monday ModgePodge

The past week we had a lot of excitement at our house:

1) Wednesday night one of Steven's mission companions, Jakob Brandley, and his family stayed with us for a night during their family vacation. He and his wife Celestial have a 5mo old little girl, HeMya (Phillipino for "Glory").

She is pretty much just as big as Jackson. He's just a little guy.
Thanks for visiting Brandleys and Bybees!

2) Jackson fell asleep praying. Oops. He's just getting ready for that mission.

3) THE BIG NEWS: Jackson has his first tooth!! Friday night while I was at work, Steven was at dinner with some friends and he discovered the little thing had erupted.

No more edentulous Jackson!

4) Steven got another basketball injury.

5) Jackson can stand up in his crib... Yikes!

HEY! Aren't you going to pick me up?

Happy Easter!
