Jackson likes to have things his way, and his way of going to bed is like this:
1) BRUSH YOUR TEETH
2) READ A STORY (OR 2 OR 3 OR 4)
3) READ THE SCRIPTURES AND LOOK AT THE "OWIE PICTURE"
(A PICTURE OF NEPHI STANDING OVER LABAN WITH A SWORD)
4) HAVE PRAYER, AND IT'S ALWAYS MOMMY'S TURN
5) JACKSON GETS TO TURN OFF THE LIGH
6) CLIMB INTO THE CRIB USING MOMMY OR DADDY'S ARMS AS A STEP
(Most kids are climbing out of their crib by 2yrs, Jackson still wants help to climb IN!)
7) PUT MY PUPPY IN THE RIGHT ARM
8) PUT MY KITTY IN THE LEFT ARM
9) PUT MY HORSY IN THE MIDDLE
10) ADD THE MONKEY AS I ROLL OVER
11) AND THEN PUT MY BLANKET ON TOP.
I tell Jackson every day "This is getting a little ridiculous!"
Of course, here is a rare occasion where he just crashed on the couch.
Sans ritual.

So sweet. Davis won't let me tuck him in or kiss him goodnight anymore. But often he wants me to "make his bed" before he gets in and it looks like he pulled the blankets off on purpose. Enjoy the fun rituals.
Let him enjoy the only-child-ness while he can, right? :-)
Cute, cute boy
Joy's down to one animal, but there was a time when she refused to sleep unless there were a half dozen critters in their with her. I wish I'd taken a picture - you'll be glad you did. :)
